Neighborhood

Wikipedia ties Debbie Harry to Chelsea, Manhattan. A tie, not always an origin

On the map at Bowery

Bowery, Manhattan: Blondie's loft was in a building on this block of the Bowery, about a block south of CBGB. The band rehearsed there, and it was chiefly her and Chris Stein's home.

    Max’s Kansas City

    1965–1981

Mickey Ruskin opened this restaurant and club on Park Avenue South in 1965; it closed in 1974 and reopened in 1975 under Tommy Dean Mills, until 1981. Debbie Harry was a waitress here; Patti Smith and Lenny Kaye opened for Phil Ochs on New Year’s Day 1974; and after it reopened it became one of the birthplaces of punk, with bands from the Ramones and Blondie to Klaus Nomi, per Wikipedia.
