Ori Carino’s black-and-white mural at the Thorneycroft Ramp, a path to the roof of a garage at the Thorneycroft Apartment complex, is based on Bob Gruen’s 1975 photo of the band sitting atop the ramp, where Joey, Dee Dee, Tommy and Johnny used to hang out as teenagers. It was unveiled in June 2016 during a tour organized by the Queens Museum, per DNAinfo. Joey’s brother Mickey Leigh helped unveil it, per the Queens Chronicle.
